Between 1945 and 1951, Plamondon played 74 games in the NHL, all in a Montreal Canadiens uniform, recording seven goals and 13 assists. He also was involved in 11 playoff games with the Canadiens, netting five goals and adding two helpers.
Plamondon's most memorable night as an NHLer came on
March 24, 1949
when he recorded three goals in a 4-3 win over the Red Wings, at the Detroit Olympia. He completed his hat trick in overtime, providing his team with the win.
Plamondon was the last surviving member of the Canadiens' 1946 Stanley Cup champion team.
